    That’s a little bit about us. Now, let’s talk about you and the position we’re looking to fill.

    Position Summary:

    The Control Panel and Systems Integrator Technician works under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager building/assembling control panels, including the layout and physical mounting of components to back panels. Connections are wired within the panels following electrical schematics, using agency-approved methodologies. System Integration is also performed, following piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and other specifications, bringing together component sub-systems and ensuring the sub-systems function well together as one system. System integration must be done within the timeframe and budget of the project.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 2 years’ experience building control panels
    • Ability to follow procedures, written and verbal
    • Experienced using a variety of hand and power tools
    • Electrical and mechanical aptitude, with hands-on experience
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical schematics and layout drawings
    • Basic computer programming skills
    • Well organized with good attention to detail
    • Work well independently, as well with others
    • Ability to make evaluations/suggestions for continual product/process improvements
    • Knowledge of food and beverage industry is a plus

    Responsibilities:

    • Mount devices to enclosure/back plate using a variety of methods including drilling and tapping in both painted and stainless steel.
    • Operate computerized equipment for labeling, printing, and tracking components.
    • Follow assembly procedures and specifications from P&IDs and related documentation, both written and verbal.
    • Use schematics provided to align components, for fit, form and function and fasten them together using mechanical and electrical best practices.
    • Use a variety of hand, power tools, and material handling equipment along with measuring devices.
    • Connect the control signals to the individual actuators on the skids and route the pneumatic tubing in a similar fashion.
    • Run wire tray to group the wires on the skid.
    • Keep red lines of any changes required during manufacturing and communicate with engineering group to update appropriate documentation.
    • Test the operation of finished system to ensure that it works properly and meets specifications.
    • Inspect work to ensure high quality in both appearance and function, following electrical standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
    • Use appropriate safety procedures and PPE.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
    • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, kneel and reach.
    • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks, constantly using hands and arms.
    • Ability to work above or below shoulder height for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to see and handle small parts and wires of different colors.
